ABOUT US
The Chelan County Historical Society, a 501(c
)3 nonprofit organization, was formed in 1959 with the purpose of collecting,
displaying, and preserving local and regional history. This organization owns
and operates the Cashmere Museum & Pioneer Village. Funding sources include
donations, admission fees, gift shop sales, memberships to the society, and a
few assorted grants.
Funding for the operation of the museum is supported by many wonderful members
and volunteers in the town of Cashmere and other local communities. The Friends
of Old Mission is a group of volunteers who meet once a month and are dedicated
to helping and supporting the museum.
The museum offers a fun and educational treasure hunt for children, special
rates for families and senior citizens, and a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy
learning about the local and regional area.
This exceptional, world class community-owned facility, ranks among the nations
finest museums. It is recognized, supported and nurtured as an extraordinary
community treasure. Our volunteers are our most important asset.
